Since our inception with hurricane Katrina in 2005 our disaster relief teams have responded to both natural and man-made disasters around the nation.
All of our volunteers are FEMA certified and well prepared in search and rescue training, to handle any situation thrown to them.
They are always on standby and ready to go when a deployment call is made.
HPR has placed, rescued, assisted and reunited hundreds of pets from disaster areas.
Through our disaster relief foster program, we provide a safe heaven to those animals victims of disasters.
Disaster victims in our program are kept up to a year in foster care before they are put up for adoption if they are strays, to give them a change to be reunited with their owners.
Stray animals are put up for adoption after a year if their owners aren’t found.
We assist pets owners that have been displaced by providing them with a foster home for their pet until they can get back on their feet.
We work with and close with state and local government agencies to make every rescue mission a success.
We focus in proving assistance also to grassroots organizations that are small and that nobody helps and focus our to assisting and serving remote and the most hard hit areas.
Our organization is small but might!
Every dollar donated to us goes where is intended, to the animals.
Disaster relief volunteer deployment and assistance to those who needed is only possible through donations from the public that help us to continue our mission.
